In addition to its long-standing assets – a renowned seaside resort, thalasso treatments and geographical location – Hammamet boasts an excellent conference infrastructure, which is currently being further developed.

Hammamet, long the queen of Tunisian seaside resorts, has renewed itself with the development, to the south, of the integrated resort of Yasmine Hammamet, featuring top-class hotels, a marina and numerous attractions.

Bio Azur thalassotherapy center

Over the years, Hammamet has established itself as a wellness destination. In 1994, it was the birthplace of Tunisia’s first thalassotherapy center, the Bio Azur (now fully renovated), followed by many others.

Hammamet also has all the assets of a major MICE destination. Less than an hour from the capital Tunis, to which it is linked by the A1 freeway, Hammamet boasts exceptional meeting facilities and a prime location on the edge of Cap Bon

Conferences: a wide choice of hotels and meeting rooms

Hammamet’s hotels have a total meeting room capacity of over 4,000.

In Hammamet Nord, the Complexe Azur offers a 600-seat plenary room accessible from its three hotels (the Royal Azur, the Sol Azur and the Bel Azur). The Hotel Sultan, one of the best 4-star hotels in the region, has a 400-seat plenary hall and 20 sub-commission rooms. And even the Sindbad, renowned for its old-style architecture and festive ambience, much appreciated by Tunis locals, is getting in on the MICE action, with a 240-seat meeting room scheduled to open in January.

The resort of Yasmine Hammamet, meanwhile, boasts the Medina Mediterranea congress center, the second largest in Tunisia after the Parc des Expositions du Kram (Tunis). Its 2000-seat plenary hall is complemented by 2 amphitheatres and exhibition areas.

Some of the hotels in Yasmine Hammamet are also well equipped to host major events: the Iberostar Averroès, for example, has a 400-seat plenary hall.

Cap Bon, Hammamet’s charming asset

The town of Hammamet has no shortage of attractions, with its two golf courses (Golf Citrus and Yasmine Golf Course), its charming medina and its 15th-century fort, which itself can host events and gala dinners. It’s also the starting point for exploring the towns, villages and landscapes of the Cap Bon peninsula.

Nabeul, the main town of Cap Bon, is renowned for its handicrafts, pottery, rush mats, flower essences and its culinary speciality, recently classified as an Intangible Heritage by UNESCO: Harissa.

Korbous is a renowned spa on the mountainside by the sea. This year saw the opening of a remarkable 5-star hotel, the Royal Tulip Korbous Bay Thalasso & Springs, with a 300-seat plenary hall and 3 committee rooms.

In Cap Bon, you can also visit the Fort of Kélibia, the archaeological site of Kerkouane (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and the village of El Haouaria at the tip of the peninsula.

On the western side of Cap Bon, the Takelsa region is certainly one of the most beautiful in Tunisia, with its unspoilt nature and pristine beaches; a paradise for hikers and team-building groups.
